Elektronik i Norden, the Scandinavian source for electronics news and industry analysis, on 22 November named Silex Microsystems AB as the 2012 Electronics Company of the year in a brief ceremony held in Stockholm.
This award, juried by industry experts including representatives of the Swedish Federation of Electrical and Electronics in Skandinavia, is decided based on both technical and financial criteria. Just having advanced technology is not enough to garner this honor, and honorees must also demonstrate professional management, financial success, and a bright future for the firm. As the world’s largest pure-play MEMS foundry, Silex has enjoyed several years of above average growth even during industry recessions, and currently services customers worldwide in advanced, state of the art MEMS manufacturing and production services.
Edvard Kälvesten and Niklas Svedin, of Silex Microsystems, receive the prize from Gunnar Lilliesköld, of Elektronik i Norden
