Silex selected as one of the most promising high-tech companies in Sweden
Out of 400 emerging companies, the European Tech Tour Association selected 25 Swedish companies with the most innovative and unique products to meet the leading international venture capital firms.
Silex Microsystems has been selected as one of these 25 most promising high-tech companies in Sweden.
Sweden has been ranked as having the best innovation climate among all EU nations, the U.S. and Japan, according to the EU Commission. The Swedish Tech Tour was designed to highlight this enormous potential and depth during a tour across the country. For delegates, the goal was to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of Sweden’s most advanced and innovative high-technology companies looking to expand globally.

The Swedish Tech Tour was the 19th edition and its second visit to Sweden since 1999. The tour visit Stockholm and other regions to showcase Sweden’s rich culture of technology and innovation. Participation was limited to 60 privately invited international professionals featuring a broad spectrum of senior representatives from VC funds, leading corporations and institutional investors. The tour provide delegates with the opportunity to meet a selection of 25 of Sweden’s most promising technology companies for potential investments, partnerships or M&A activities. Furthermore, the agenda included interactions and meetings with a range of key figures from various disciplines – venture capital, corporate, entrepreneurs and academia.
Micro and Nano technology are beginning to impact almost every area of science and technology. In fields as diverse as wireless communications, automotive design, entertainments, and light wave systems, micro and nano technology are becoming the key technologies. Silex Microsystems develops and manufacture specialized micro and nano devices such as sensors, actuators, and other precision structures to be integrated in customers’ end products, primarily for life science, industrial and telecommunications applications.
