Silex Microsystems opens a North American sales office

BOSTON, April 4, 2005 – Silex Microsystems (Silex), an industry leading manufacturer of specialized MEMS and Nano solutions for the Life Science, Telecommunications and High-tech industries, announces the opening of a North American sales office in Boston, USA.

This important addition is part of Silex’s strategy to work closely with its customers. It allows the company to expand its business and tap into the new emerging markets in US and Canada. The North American MEMS market is expected to have a sizeable growth over the next several years, with areas like Life Science, Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics as clear winners.

The company has appointed Mr. Magnus Rimskog as the Area Sales Manager for the North American market, also serving as the Executive Manager for the Boston office. Prior to his new assignment, Magnus was located in Silex Sweden and held the position as International Business Development Manager for the Telecommunications area.
