Gary Johnson has more than 20 years of experience driving large and small companies to accelerate their revenue growth and establish leadership positions in fast-growing markets.
Previously, Mr. Johnson was chairman of Marwood Technology, president and CEO of PortalPlayer Inc., and CEO of S3 Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson also worked for National Semiconductor and British Telecom Research Laboratories.

Edvard Kälvesten

Edvard Kälvesten has more than 15 years of experience in the MEMS industry. Before founding Silex in 2000, he was research manager at the Swedish company Acreo. He also held an R&D position at RADI Medical. Kälvesten has filed some 10 patents and patent-pending applications. He founded Silex with four fellow MEMS experts from KTH and Acreo, all of whom today hold senior positions with the company.

Roland Nilsson

Roland Nilsson has had a long career in executive-level financial positions. Most recently, he served as Corporate Controller for Kidde Sweden AB in Stockholm, Corporate Controller for Elekta Instrument AB, and Financial Manager for AB Marabou.

Tomas Bauer

Tomas Bauer has an outstanding record of deploying successful strategies in the sales of complex technical solutions and manufacturing services. He has played an important role in shaping the global foundry business strategy of Silex and has made a significant contribution to the overall growth of the company. Prior to joining Silex, Tomas held positions with Temex and Ericsson Microelectronics.

Peter Himes
Born 1959, MBA, BSEE
Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Alliances

Peter Himes has over 25 years’ experience in helping startups and public companies establish their strategic direction and industry position. Experienced in IC and MEMS alike, Peter has held VP of Sales and/or Marketing positions at QuickSil, SiTime, and Winbond Corporations. Earlier in his career, Peter spent 15 years at National Semiconductor in various engineering, marketing and corporate strategy roles in National’s Analog Products division.
