Ecosystem and Technical Advisory Board
Silex Microsystems has formed its Ecosystem and Technical Advisory Board to bring the perspective and guidance of industry experts to Silex and to complement our internal efforts in guiding the company’s technology-development strategy, long-term product roadmap, and efforts in promoting industry ecosystem development. ETAB members are drawn from all areas of the industry to give a broad perspective on the MEMS industry, production and manufacturing, and on the semiconductor industry as a whole.
The current members of the Silex ETAB are:
Dr. Alissa Fitzgerald
Dr. Alissa Fitzgerald is the founder and managing member of AMFitzgerald & Associates, a MEMS product development firm located near San Francisco, CA. Alissa has over 16 years of engineering experience in MEMS design, fabrication and product development. Having developed more than a dozen distinct MEMS devices, such as piezoresistive cantilevers, ultrasound transducers, and infrared imagers, she advises clients on the entire technology development cycle, from business and IP strategy, to initial design and prototyping, to foundry transfer. She is a recognized expert on reliability of brittle materials. Prior to founding AMFitzgerald, Dr. Fitzgerald worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Orbital Sciences Corporation, Sigpro, and Sensant Corporation, now part of Siemens. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MIT and her doctorate from Stanford University in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
